The Cocora Valley invites you to hike, ride and experience the local culture.  &#8220;Cocora&#8221; was the name of a Quimbayan princess, daughter of the local chief Acaime. The name Cocora means &#8220;Star of Water&#8221; (Spanish: Estrella de Agua). The Valley is the perfect place to see our national tree and symbol of Colombia, the Quind\u00edo wax palm (Ceroxylon quindiuense). This is the only palm tree that grows at this altitude and can reach an impressive 70m in height.
